What is Notice?


Notice here means an advance notification or warning or a displayed sheet or placard giving news or information.

How to write a notice?

aA
■ The notice should have a heading below the word 'Notice'.

 ■It should bear the number, if any, on the top left corner  & the date at the bottom or on the top right corner or both.

 ■It should bear the signature of the person issuing it.

 ■ If the notice is signed by a student, it should be countersigned by the head of the institution.

 ■ Use the present & the future tense and the passive voice.

 ■Make the Notice brief & to the point & simple in language.

 Some Example of Notice  worked out below:

Literacy is a social curse. we must do away with it. But the government can not cope with the situation alone without the cooperation from the citizen, especially from the youth. Therefore all the students of School, as well as the local youths, are hereby notified to come forward with a mission to spread education or literacy among the unprivileged people on 26th January 2019 at 7: 0 Am. The program will be commenced from 8:0 am & it will continue at 12:0 am. Willing people are requested to bring placard & banner regarding the Literacy program.

A willing person may contact to a Countersigned person if needed for further details.

Suppose you are the secretary of the magazine committee at your school. Draft a notice to be circulated among the students inviting contributions from them. Mentions the following points:
(A) Types of contribution & word limit (b) size of manuscript paper & quality of handwriting.(c)last date of submission
Get your notice countersigned by the Head of the Institution.

It is hereby notified all the student of our school that our school magazine " Rainbow " will be published on 23 rd January, the birthday of freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. An article may be submitted ie short story, drama, poem, song etc. The language of this article must be either English or Bengali within 200 words in A4 paper. Photograph & sketches of the landscape are also invited. Active co operation is expected from all.
